George Müller

George Müller (1805–1898) was a German-born Christian evangelist and director of orphanages in England. He is best known for his extraordinary faith and unwavering reliance on prayer. Once a rebellious youth who spent time in jail, Müller experienced a dramatic conversion and devoted his life to serving God. He founded the Ashley Down orphanages in Bristol, where he cared for over 10,000 orphans during his lifetime—all without ever soliciting funds, instead trusting entirely in God to provide through prayer. His life remains a powerful example of faith in action, inspiring countless Christians to trust in God’s provision and compassion.
